The Rotary Foundation offers two categories of awards, including Rotary Peace Fellowship Scholarships for master’s students and Rotary Fellowships for professional development certificate programs. Eligibility Criteria of Rotary Peace Fellowship Program 2024-25:

  • The candidates must be proficient in English.
  • The candidates must have an extraordinary record of building projects.
  • The candidates must be able to exhibit their academic achievements as well as the record of personal or community service.
  • The students who are pursuing for master’s degree must have completed their bachelor’s degree.
  • For master’s students, at least three years of relevant experience is required starting from the date of their most recent degree to the start of the fellowship program.
  • Candidates who are currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree programs are not eligible.
  • The candidates who are applying for the certificate program must have fulfilled all the above requirements, however, the experience required for these candidates is of five years.
  • The certificate candidates must be able to explain their plan of action.
  • Candidates with disability are encouraged to apply.
  • The candidates who have attended a certificate program or a global grant scholarship must have a three-year gap before applying for a master’s under this fellowship.
  • Active Rotary members, employees of the Rotary Club, Rotary International, or other Rotary entities are ineligible.

What is the application Process for the Rotary Fellowship Program 2025?

The Rotary Peace Scholarship is a highly competitive program that offers individuals the opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree or certificate in peace and conflict resolution. To ensure that your application receives consideration, follow these steps:

1. Review the eligibility restrictions of the Rotary Peace Fellowship Program :

Before applying, make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria for the program. This will save you time and effort in the application process.

2. Research the curriculum and programs at each of the Rotary Peace Centers:

It is important to understand the programs and curriculums offered at each of the Rotary Peace Centers. You will be asked to rank two centers you prefer for the Master’s program if you meet the eligibility criteria for both programs. (Please note that the certificate program at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand is not accepting applications in 2023, but we are accepting applications for the certificate program for the Rotary Peace Center at Makerere University in Uganda.)

3. Engage with Rotary:

Connecting with a Rotary club is a great way to learn about Rotary’s work in your community and around the world. Use the Club Finder to locate the Rotary club nearest you. A club recommendation is optional, but strongly encouraged as part of your application.

4. Submit your application by 15 May:

Your application must be submitted in English and include a resume, academic and/or professional recommendations, essays, transcripts from postsecondary colleges and universities attended (master’s only), English language proficiency test scores (master’s only), and a social impact plan (certificate only).

5. Get endorsed:

If your application meets the qualification and eligibility criteria, it will be automatically assigned to a trained Rotary endorser who will reach out to you to schedule an interview during the month of June. After your interview, the Rotary endorser will submit an endorsement decision for your application by 1 July.

6. Await selection results:

Email notifications will be sent in November. If you are chosen for a fellowship, you will be told which Peace Center will be the site for your studies.

7. Apply for admission (master’s only) to the university where your Peace Center is located:

Being selected for the fellowship does not mean you have been admitted to the university. It is your responsibility to apply for admission to the university where your Peace Center is located.

What is the Selection process for the Rotary Peace Fellowship Program 2024?

The Rotary Peace Centers Committee follows a thorough screening process to select the finalists for the Rotary Peace Fellowship program. The selection is based on the following criteria:

  • Commitment to peace and development
  • Leadership potential
  • Compatibility with fellowship objectives and fit with Rotary
  • Academic record and compatibility with preferred university program
  • Feasibility and impact of Social Change Initiative (certificate only)

During the selection process, the Committee assesses each applicant’s potential to become a successful leader and contribute to global peace and development. They consider factors such as the candidate’s academic achievements, work experience, and other relevant accomplishments. The Committee also reviews the feasibility and potential impact of the Social Change Initiative (certificate only).

The selection process takes place between July and October, and the Committee consists of Rotarians and university representatives. After the thorough screening process, the Committee selects the finalists for the Rotary Peace Fellowship program.

How to Apply for Rotary Peace Fellowship Program 2024-2025?

  • The candidates have to submit their applications to the Rotary Foundation online.
  • Provide all the relevant documents.
  • Submit your endorsement online from the fellowship subcommittee till 1st July.
  • The confirmation of receiving the endorsement and application will be sent.

Rotary Peace Fellowship Program Application Deadline:
